Social skills are offered for children experiencing difficulties interacting with peers and adults. We believe that children learn best when actively engaged in fun and creative activities. Skills are taught through games, role plays and positive interactions.
Groups are appropriate for children with ADD/ADHD, Asperger’s
Syndrome/Spectrum Disorders, anxiety, depression, anger, aggression, defiance.
Children are screened for skill level and then placed in an appropriate group.
Areas of focus may include:
- Listening Skills
- Conversational Skills
- Problem Solving Skills
- Anger Management Skills
- Good Sportsmanship
- Empathy Training
Groups meet for one hour per week. Parent feedback is provided after each session.
